Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir and singer-songwriter Jackie Greene teamed up to sing the national anthem at Oracle Arena in Oakland on Wednesday before the Golden State Warriors took on the Houston Rockets in the NBA Playoffs. The Warriors went on the beat the Rockets and now have a three-game to two advantage in the Western Conference Semifinals.
Greene handled the high harmony on last night’s rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” His appearance with Weir came just a few days after Jackie joined Bob & Wolf Bros at the BeachLife Festival. Bobby calls the Bay Area home and Greene was raised about 90 miles away from Oakland in Sacramento. The pair have performed together a number of times in past including during a 2012 tour that also featured Chris Robinson.
